In this context, down a gravel laneway, just off a busy road, lies Medical Mission Aid partner, the Hope Haven Wheelchair Factory which shines hope, health and life as it improves health outcomes for those living with disability.

Hope Haven Wheelchair Factory produces and sells wheelchairs, tricycles and mobility devices that suit the unique conditions of Nepal including rough roads, potholes and mountainous terrain.  It’s a business, making a modest profit by selling wheelchairs to hospitals and those who can afford to purchase one.  However, it also provides wheelchairs free of charge to those who can’t afford one but desperately need the independence that comes from something as simple – yet elusive as a wheelchair.

This is how Medical Mission Aid partners with Hope Haven Wheelchair Factory.

MMA has committed to 3 years of a subsidy program, enabling free delivery of wheelchairs to those who desperately need one – but are unable to pay.  This year, through your support MMA hopes to provide 50 urgently needed wheelchairs.
